Family members and disciples of late Prophet Ireti Ajanaku are now
singing discordant tunes over his burial date. Insiders revealed to
ENCOMIUM Weeklythat the family members have picked Saturday, November
16, 2013, as burial date of their late son, Abass, popularly known as
Prophet Ajanaku.
According to Emmanuel Olesemeji, who revealed this to us on Saturday,
October 5, 2013, the family members, after much deliberation,
unanimously decided to bury their famous son, who has been lying in the
morgue at Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, since Friday, August 23, 2013.
“Yes, it’s true that the family has decided to go ahead with the
burial on Saturday, November 16, 2013. His younger brother, Moruf
Ajanaku has spoken on behalf of the family. It is a known fact that he
is dead and it has been confirmed medically”.
However, information available to us has it that the church members,
spearheaded by his delectable widow, Joy, have not agreed with the date.
The reason, we learnt, is not unconnected with the fact that they have
still refused to acknowledge his passage.
“How can they accept the burial date of someone they have not ever announced officially in church as dead”.
Nonetheless, we were informed that the family has communicated the decision to the widow.
WHERE WILL HE BE BURIED?
It was gathered that the prophet would be buried in Lagos. Although,
the family preferred either his Lagos home or hometown, Gbongan, Osun
State, they decided to respect the deceased’s wish to be buried at his
church in Lagos.
